Karen was born in Thetford, but travelled around the country with her parents as her father was in the Air Force.
She was educated at the Blyth Grammer School in Norwich and has always had an interest in art.
Since taking early retirement from local government, she has travelled extensively throughout the world and has been able to concentrate on developing her art.
Her favourite mediums are water colour and pastel.
She is a member of local art groups and has sold many paintings of local scenes and also portraits. Although, self taught, she has attended various classes and also reads extensively. She is particularly influenced by the work of Edward Seago who lived and worked in East Anglia.
